Along with keyword searching, the documents collection can be browsed by facets representing specific document properties:

Every facet organizes the documents into the groups (possibly, hierarchical) depending on a specific document property.

Selection a facet in Navigation panel will bring you with a list of all values of the selected facet. To add a value to the current search query, select it and press "Search" button (or double-click an item).

Please note: the first facet ("Keyword search") has special purpose of using for a full-text search (see Search).

'Source' facet

The sources scanned by AutoFocus

'Location' facet

The facet represents paths to the documents inside its sources. In the case of a Folder source, each 'Location' item represents a hierarchy of folders with the base source folder as a root.

'Date & time' facet

The facet organizes the documents into the groups, depending on their creation dates:

  • Today
  • Yesterday
  • Past week
  • Past month
  • Past year
  • Older than 1 year

'Type' facet

The facet represents the document types (HTML, MS Word, PDF etc), organized hierarchically

'People' facet

The names of people, related with the documents. The people is grouped into three categories:

  • Senders
  • Receivers
  • Creators

'Language' facet

Represents document languages.

'Size' facet

Organizes the documents depending on their physical file sizes.
